Packaging Manager
Job Purpose and Impact
The Packaging Manager will improve the stability, capability, flexibility and availability of the processes and packaging while reducing variability and mitigating risks in the operational area. In this role, you will enable the operational/Packaging area to achieve line efficiency, cost targets while protecting our people, communities, the environment and assets; and honoring our business obligations.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure daily packaging operations, ensure efficiency and an aligned continuous improvement process to effectively create, prioritize and handle a portfolio of projects and initiatives to maximize opportunity and value capture.
- Manage Inventory of Packaging material and coordinate with Supply planner for Finished good Packaging, Raw material and Packaging material availability .
- Build capability within operations and functional teams to create project improvement plans that meet current and future performance targets and build structures that allow for the governance of project execution plans.
- Lead and develop the implementation of smart manufacturing to enable the design, development, deployment and support of common digital tools, configurations and solutions on the operations shop floor.
- Implement, deploy and optimize methodologies to standardize processes and procedures adding methods into the process for leaders to validate what is happening in the plant and check the standard work of others.
- Foster the operating approach for running the manufacturing facility based on reducing variability.
- Achieve sustainable results through best practice and work process improvement using a digital integrative improvement solution to enable many of the core processes.
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Tech. in Mechinacal/Food Science/Oil Technonogy OR Post Graduation in Science and with minimum two to three years of experience in Packaging
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Continuous or process improvement certifications line Green/black belt
- Minimum of 8 -12 years manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated capabilities in continuous improvement
- Two or three years of supervisory experience
