Raw Meat Category Lead

Job Purpose and Impact
The Raw Meat Category Lead will lead the sourcing and merchandize strategy for raw meat within the Food Service Retail segment. In this role, you will ensure supply continuity, optimize raw meat positioning and cost performance, and manage market and supply risks - while building strong supplier partnerships and aligning with customer and business requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop, execute a comprehensive sourcing, and merchandize strategy - within the Food Service Retail segment.
- Expand and strengthen the approved supplier base across Europe and key import regions - to enhance supply flexibility and competitiveness
- Build, manage, and develop supplier relationships, including leading negotiations and monitoring performance across cost, quality, and service
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Strategic Pricing, R&D, MSC, Commercial, QA) to drive aligned and optimal business outcomes
- Build and maintain market intelligence on raw material trends, pricing developments, and supply-demand dynamics, translating insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Identify and lead cost optimization initiatives in line with customer pricing frameworks and margin targets
- Independently manage complex sourcing challenges, escalating only the most critical issues when required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sourcing, category management, or commodity procurement/ merchandising (agriculture, ingredients, or raw meat)
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic sourcing plans
- Strong understanding of global market dynamics, cost drivers, and risk management
- Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken)
