Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Supply and Inventory Planner plays a critical role within our Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization, serving as a key connector between demand, capacity, and execution. This role is responsible for converting the long-term demand plan into a long-term monthly supply plan designed to support high service levels and customer demand, while balancing cost, capacity, and operational constraints.
Beyond technical planning responsibilities, this role requires strong leadership and influence to guide cross-functional teams through the complexity required to translate plans into actionable solutions. The Senior Supply and Inventory Planner leads through ambiguity, disruption, and change, and is relied upon as a primary problem solver during supply chain or operational disruptions. Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while building trusted relationships across plant leadership, commercial teams, and supply chain partners.
The Senior Supply and Inventory Planner will own the long-term supply and inventory plan for multiple product lines within the CSST NA business. This includes the development and on-going management of a monthly supply and inventory plan that aligns with the business’ C-IBP process. In this role, you will monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, manage stock health, and coordinate across functions to identify and address risks and opportunities within the supply and inventory plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as core contributor and leader within the Cargill Integrated Business Planning (CIBP) process, providing insight into 0-36 month supply plan versus capacity constraints, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing actionable recommendations
- Lead monthly Supply Review for assigned product lines to reach consensus on the forward supply and inventory plan, risk and opportunities, and actions needed
- Engage closely with plant, commercial, and supply chain teams at both a tactical and strategic level, translating plans into clear, actionable direction and ensuring understanding and alignment
- Create long term supply and inventory plan for assigned product lines as input for the integrated business planning cycle
- Generate and execute safety stock and inventory plans/targets for the assigned product lines, using the approved supply plan inputs
- Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages
- Maintain data relevant to network distribution planning activities including capacity, constraints, costs, etc.
- Lead identifying and evaluating what-if scenario plans
- Manage stock health management for assigned product lines with consistent monitoring of aging and non-performing inventory, holding cross-functional partners accountable to identified actions
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Six years of experience with at least three in supply and inventory planning.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex planning environments with multiple variables, competing priorities, and tight timelines.
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams through complex or disruptive situations.
- Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
- Ability to use data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI to analyze trends, communicate insights, and support leadership decision-making.
- Familiarity with using advanced digital tools, including AI-enabled or language-based tools, to support analysis, scenario evaluation, or communication in a professional setting.
- Experience working effectively with multiple functions including transportation, operations, FSQR, production scheduling, warehouse/terminal, finance, demand planning, etc.
- Experience with supply planning technologies (SAP IBP, APO, etc.)
- Continuous improvement experience.
- Experience with critical thinking and challenge the status quo when appropriate.
- Experience with Excel.

• Location preference is MN-Wayzata or KS-Wichita, however, open to any location near a Cargill SST (Starches, Sweeteners & Texturizers) plant/office (IN, TN, NE, IL, TX, GA, ND, IA, FL, or OH) - This is not a remote position.

• The expected salary for this position is $100,000-$120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
