Job Purpose and Impact
The Accountant Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely posting of purchase invoices (primarily raw materials and transportation), as well as financial controls and reporting.
We are looking for a specialist with knowledge of tax regulations and accounting standards. In this role, you will collaborate with other departments and Cargill entities in line with established requirements and procedures.
We offer a fixed-term contract for 18 months.
Work in hybrid system (2 days in the office, 3 days remote).
Location: Siedlce
Key Accountabilities
- Processing accounting and financial documentation, including posting purchase invoices (mainly raw materials and transportation), investigating discrepancies between supplier invoices and system data, and maintaining contact with suppliers.
- Performing basic accounting duties such as reviewing payment reminders, confirming balances with suppliers, reconciling accounts, archiving documents, and participating in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Preparing documentation for audits, inspections, and other internal departments.
- Handling routine issues under direct supervision while escalating more complex matters to the appropriate personnel.
- Performing other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in an accounting department.
- Knowledge of tax regulations (CIT, VAT) related to purchase invoices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to independently resolve issues, investigate discrepancies, and find solutions in line with tax regulations.
- Good command of English will be an asset.
- Knowledge of Axapta or SAP will be an additional advantage.
