Compensation: $22.32/hr

Job Overview
As a Packaging Technician at Cargill, you’ll play a critical role in moving, packaging, and preparing bulk and finished products safely and efficiently. In this hands‑on role, you’ll operate equipment, monitor processes, and ensure materials are loaded, unloaded, and packaged to meet quality and safety standards. You’ll be part of a team focused on reliability, efficiency, and delivering high‑quality products every day.

What You Will Do

  • Operate packaging machinery, including stretch‑wrapping systems, label‑printing equipment, and forklifts, to process and transport bulk and finished materials.
  • Monitor processing, following standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintain production schedules and record data consistently and accurately.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks as required.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory procedures while maintaining all housekeeping expectations.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or variable shifts with advance notice.
  • Perform duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbal and written.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, including at heights of 4 feet or more, and capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation and while using appropriate PPE.
  • Basic computer skills.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • At least one year of experience in a production, manufacturing, or plant environment.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using SAP or other inventory/warehouse management systems.
