Job Purpose and Impact

The Production Support Worker I, will serve internal customers of the location in support of basic production, housekeeping and administrative activities. In this role, you will maintain good housekeeping conditions to ensure proper maintenance of the plant in terms of efficiency, aesthetics and cleanliness, assist in waste and pallet management and perform routine and repetitive duties in support of the plant operations department, adhering to all required food safety rules and regulations under frequent guidance.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain overall external area of the site including traffic routes and green areas, remove the snow during winter season and spread salt as needed under frequent guidance following all food safety policies, rules and regulations.
• Ensure the permeability of waste management and the availability of empty containers and garbage cans.
• Select and store post production, non hazardous and hazardous waste adhering to safe work practices.
• Provide routine pallet service for the production department as required to stack finished products, load and unload pallets including segregating post production pallets into different types and stocks.
• Support the local operation of basic disinfection, disinsectization and deratization processes.
• Operate forklift and tractor including loading and unloading of used and unused goods for production under direct guidance.
• Assist in minor repair and painting tasks using basic tools.
• Other duties as assigned
