Job Purpose and Impact

The Consultant, Information Security – Application, Data & Cloud Security is responsible for operating and supporting enterprise security services across application, data, cloud, and SaaS environments. This role executes standardized security processes, supports security control adoption, manages security platforms, and partners with technology teams to improve security posture across the enterprise.

The role will primarily leverage Wiz and other security platforms to provide visibility into security risks, support control implementation, deliver operational reporting, and enable secure adoption of cloud, application, and data services.

Key Accountabilities

• Operate and support security services across application, data, cloud, and SaaS environments.
• Administer and manage security platforms including Wiz and related security tools.
• Support onboarding of applications, cloud workloads, repositories, and data assets into enterprise security services.
• Monitor security posture and identify configuration, exposure, and compliance gaps using established security processes.
• Partner with application, cloud, infrastructure, and data teams to drive adoption of security controls and secure-by-default practices.
• Support SaaS security monitoring and posture management activities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to measure security service effectiveness.
• Support audit, compliance, and control validation activities.
• Contribute to automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service scalability.
• Participate in security investigations and operational support activities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in information security, cloud security, application security, data security, or security operations.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Wiz, including onboarding, policy management, security posture monitoring, reporting, and operational administration.
• Experience working with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Good understanding of cloud security, application security, SaaS security, and data security concepts.
• Experience working with security findings, security controls, and risk reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Wiz, AppOmni, Checkmarx, GitHub Security, Microsoft Security, Purview, or similar security platforms.
• Familiarity with SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM), CSPM, DSPM, and Application Security tools.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CCSP, CISSP, or equivalent would be a good to have
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.
