Principal Accountabilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair surface mobile equipment, including loaders, forklifts, trucks, service vehicles, and support equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hoists, winches, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Maintain and repair material handling systems, including conveyors, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, bins, chutes, pumps, crushers, and screens
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults and complete repairs, including component replacement, adjustments, and rebuilds
  • Operate forklifts and mobile lifts from designated locations with little variation
  • Perform welding, cutting, and light fabrication on carbon steel and stainless steel for guards, supports, and equipment repairs
  • Safely operate equipment to test functionality, reposition machinery, and verify completed repairs
  • Conduct routine inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment deficiencies
  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, work orders, and maintenance documentation
  • Coordinate with operations, contractors, and maintenance team members to minimize downtime
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice
  • Mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience
  • Welding experience and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with material handling systems and mobile equipment preferred
