This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Integrated Category Planner will help create all levels of demand plans for a group of products with medium planning complexity, contribute to coordinating long term supply chain strategies across networks to address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals. In this role, you will handle large sets of data and collaborate with others to create a robust demand and supply plan, monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost to serve performance data and help coordinate the company's cross functional work teams to meet high customer service standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Create and maintain demand plan from statistical forecast through consensus.
- Maintain and handle product history, accurate forecasts and promotional demand.
- Maintain data relative to demand forecasts to include hierarchy, historical data cleansing, demand sensing data and forecast model parameters.
- Participate in integrated business planning, contributing to demand planning metrics targets.
- Acknowledge business demand drivers, identify opportunities and risks, and proactively collaborate with other partners to support inventory strategies.
- Create requirements plan and long term supply plan for assigned products and locations as input for the integrated business planning cycle.
- Participate in the creation of inventory planning metrics targets.
- Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages.
- Generate and execute cycle stock and safety stock plans for the assigned product or location, using the approved supply plan inputs.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of supply chain process
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
