Job Purpose and Impact

The Food Safety Generalist Director will ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, standards and practices across a low complexity, low risk facility. In this role, you will implement policies, regulations, customer and supplier standards across manufacturing facilities and you will adapt and execute business plans, contributing to the development of functional or departmental strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze, review and interpret policies, regulations, customer and supplier standards.
  • Implement product specification systems and all quality, regulatory and food safety and change management programs.
  • Direct work with complex suppliers, external manufacturers and distribution centers to comply with requirements and product specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the areas of processes, plant design and customer focus.
  • Build internal and external partnerships to ensure product quality.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
