Shift Available: Day shift
Compensation: $27.50/hr
Principal Accountabilities:
- Monitoring and controlling the various unit operations via the process control system, checking product quality and progress
- Clean in Place (CIP) of the milk tanks, unload lines, process system which includes safe handling of chemicals
- Following documented process procedures and timely completing required paperwork
- Conducting environmental inspections and required emergency response
- Completing and coordinating Work Permits and pre-job tasks forms
- Performing a variety of basic preventative maintenance and sanitation tasks on plant systems and equipment
- Unload bulk ingredients following set practices
- Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, articulating boom
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas, including wearing PPE for work above 4 feet
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment, including a forklift
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using forklift or similar equipment
- Experience in a production and/or food handling experience
- Experience with inventory systems
