Chlor-Alkali Process Automation Engineer
Cargill, Incorporated seeks a full-time Chlor-Alkali Process Automation Engineer located in Eddyville, IA. The Chlor-Alkali Process Automation Engineer applies deep technical knowledge of the Chlor-Alkali process to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions and oversees overall governance on standards, application, gaps, solutions, and measurements to increase production quality, efficiency, and volume for the business.
This position requires
- a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience, including two years of experience working in the Chlor-Alkali Industry.
- Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:
- (1) working with PLC systems;
- (2) performing functional testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instruments; PLC programming; and electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment, components, and sub-systems;
- (3) identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, process variations, and optimizing processes using lean and six sigma principles; and
- (4) working with PRA, LOPA, HAZOP, RCA, and FMEA.
- Must also have 6 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:
- (1) performing PLC programming.
- All experience may have been gained concurrently.
