Shift(s) Available: Monday to Friday (Start time varies from 5:40am to 6:30am and ends at 2:10pm to 3:00pm) 
Compensation: $21.75/hour

Principal Accountabilities

  • Cutting, trimming and preparing precise products in accordance with client specifications using knives and equipment 
  • Slaughter livestock (skin, split, clean and trim) using knives and equipment
  • Working with specialized knives and equipment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirement as well as safe food handling practices
  • Maintaining knife sharpness according to company standards
  • Ability to work in temperature controlled environments (Warm <30 Celsius or Cold 0-4 Celsius)
  • Weight handling up to 50lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Comfortable working with raw meat; Beef
  • Responsible for high standards of sanitation and personal cleanliness
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions with high attention to detail in completing tasks
  • Performing other duties as required or assigned by supervisor 


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be currently legal to work in Canada
  • Minimum of 12 months experience utilizing a knife or cutting equipment in a meat retail or wholesale environment

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Familiar with food industry regulations, requirements and processes  
  • Previous experience working with meat in a retail or wholesale environment 
  • Knowledge in Butcher or Meat Cutting process
