Trader Cotton
Job Purpose and Impact
The Trader (Cotton) will be responsible for providing support in developing and managing the risk of a global cotton portfolio, you will generate income and control risks by performing complex trading work, with medium risk tolerance. This role will work across a global team to providing trading support to maximize returns for stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply a thorough comprehension of trade to execute and monitor the short term trading strategies and books for a specific commodity, market or customer based on speculative and hedged positions.
- Generate market, positions and profit and loss reports based on estimates and specialty reports created by junior members of the team.
- Handle and monitor medium trading positions and exposures, such as the short term trading book.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, identify potential customers and foster current customer relationships.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
