This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Account Manager Coatings and Polymers will participate in face to face and remote selling to the company's new and existing customers in coatings and polymers in Italy. In this role, you will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

•    Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration.
•    Build a business plan for each account developing strong client relationships.
•    Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
•    Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff.
•    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
•    Minimum of two years of related work experience in a commercial role in CASE industries (Coatings / Adhesives / Sealants / Elastomers) 
•    Technical expertise in polymer industry
•    Fluent in English and Italian
•    Open to travel up to 50% across the country

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Master’s degree in chemistry or related field
•    3 years of related work experience in a commercial role
•    Experience in a technical role preferrably in R&D and/or Applications labs
•    Polymer (Polyamide / Polyester / Polyurethane and Epoxy etc.) chemistry knowledge
•    Specific market knowledge & application expertise as well as network in CASE industries (Coatings / Adhesives/ Sealants / Elastomers)
•    Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
•    Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
•    Ability to relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
•    Ability to effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.
