Job Purpose and Impact
The purpose of this position is to operate and maintain highly automated production machinery in an organised and efficient manner and accurately complete production records. As well as operate machinery you will conduct preventative and repair maintenance tasks as well as improvement activities. Interaction and effective communication with other production staff, truck drivers and supervisors. The purpose of this position is to operate and maintain highly automated production machinery in an organised and efficient manner and accurately complete production records. Interaction and effective communication with other production staff, truck drivers and supervisors. You will be required to work on a 3-week rotating roster, 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm, 3 to 4 per week) covering day and nights, Monday to Friday which will allow for plenty of work life balance.
Key Accountabilities
Daily safe and efficient running of all packaging production lines consisting of:
- Preparation of oil blends and additive mixtures requested.
- Forklift Operation – transferring stock.
- Complete breakdown and preventative maintenance of all equipment.
- Completion in full accurate production records.
- Minimize waste as part of normal production.
- Maintain housekeeping and GMP standards.
- Complete Monthly product stock takes.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively with Supervisor and internal site.
- Participate proactively in Health and safety Training and initiatives
- Any other tasks as required and within the capability of the individual.
- LOTO equipment as per the Cargill LOTO procedure.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualified in mechanical, electrical or fabrication disciplines
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have very good time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow-up
- Willingness to accept accountability
- Computer literacy and ability to end and retrieve data accurately
