Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose and Impact
The Maintenance Supervisor will plan basic routine maintenance on our plant assets and equipment following established program guidelines. In this role, you will develop detailed job plans to improve the work force efficiency and quality by identifying the elements of an executable work package. You will provide general knowledge of consistent maintenance and reliability best practices in the completion of planning and prioritizing basic tasks and providing quality work that supports organizational goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee a team of maintenance technicians
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and development
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Develop and implement preventive-predictive maintenance plans
- Schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and automation issues
- Perform repairs and modifications to equipment, including PLC programming
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new equipment and systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions
- Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Have experience minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a feed mill or grain manufacturing
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Have technical Expertise or proven experience in industrial automation, electrical systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power distribution
- Strong understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting techniques for various brands and familiarity with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces
