Logistics & Warehouse Assistant Manager (Tuas based)
Job Purpose and Impact
The Logistics & Warehouse Assistant Manager will supervise the efficient operation of the distribution warehouse, including supervising teams on coordinating and controlling timely loadings, preparation of shipments and warehousing documentation to meet customer needs and contract obligations aligned to productivity goals. In this role, he/she will collaborate with production, FSQR, EHS & other supply chain teams to proactively create effective logistics procedures and cost cutting solutions through gather and analyze industry data to identify trends. He/she will manage & safeguard all product inventory in distribution warehouse including raw materials, packing material & finished products to ensure quality & accuracy in stock records.
Key Accountabilities
Provide support and input to ensure appropriate accomplishment of sales distribution plan.
Coordinate budgets and maintain safety, security and inventory control programs.
Regular meetings with distribution warehouse operators to measure performance efficiency and propose for improvements.
Responsible to manage owned equipment, intellectual property held at distribution warehouse and propose improvements.
Validate all warehousing expense invoices like storage, logistics, overtime charges to ensure accuracy & timely submission for payment.
Evaluate, select and build effective relationships with external warehouse/transport providers and acquired manage fleet vehicles.
Keep health and safety records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation of company.
Conduct investigation on damage claims, non-compliance and safety violations and ensure corrective actions in place to ensure safety of our staff and product.
Lead cycle counts activities and yearly stock take events to ensure correct & proper inventory recordings.
Involve in internal & external audits related to warehouse logistics security & food safety
Responsible for the maintenance of warehouse logistic policy & procedure
Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
Other project assignments or duties related to warehouse & logistics matter as assigned by superior.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 year of directly related work experience at supervisory level
