Collection Specialist with English (Maternity Cover)

Job Purpose and Impact
The Collection Specialist with English (Maternity Cover), will execute operations in the end to end credit to cash process using basic knowledge of these processes. In this role, you will be a key process coordinator in the management and control of the accounts receivables ledger for a work group within a business or function in one location.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide basic insight to stakeholders on the interpretation and delivery of processes.
- Apply a basic understanding of operational practices, procedures and internal controls to identify areas of improvement.
- Execute process delivery across order management, credit, cash collection and cash application.
- Research and analyze payment history and trends of all accounts taking necessary actions and employing strategies for debt repayment.
- Resolve queries, escalations, long lasting issues and processes such as self billing and netting customers, direct debit, holds or releases.
- Partner with all levels of customers and internal stakeholders such as allocation team, sales organization, customer service, supply chain and credit risk to ensure accounts remain in good standing.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Proficiency with email, spreadsheet, and word processing applications
Fluent English language skills - verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
Collections, accounts receivable and general accounting knowledge
