Job Purpose and Impact
The Junior Accountant - General Ledger will perform monthly general ledger accounting activities and support financial and management reporting. In this role, you will be part of a culturally and geographically diverse team and interact with various finance and non-finance teams. 
Key Accountabilities
  • Perform month-end closing - prepare journal entries for accruals, provisions, prepayments and other adjustments; Support USGAAP reporting; Prepare reports for management purposes;
  • Perform internal controls - prepare balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to financial statements reviews;
  • Act as owner of the assigned tasks for the respective business unit and provide support to different stakeholders, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff;
  • Manage the assigned tasks within set deadlines, receiving guidance from more experienced team members;
  • Demonstrate proactiveness and continuous improvement mindset by participating in process improvement projects and cross train with other team members to provide backup for critical tasks;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Good communication skills and effective work in a team;
  • Good technical and excel skills;
  • Fluent in English, any other languages will be considered as an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and processes.
  • Experience in finance operations with knowledge of Record to Report and related finance processes
