Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a sanitary environment by completing routine cleaning tasks and supporting overall facility cleanliness standards.

Job Type: Full Time
Shift Available: Rotative (Weekends may be required)
Compensation: $23.00 /hr - after probation period $27.06 /hr

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform a variety of cleaning duties including emptying garbage and recycling bins, dusting facility areas, and cleaning forklifts.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker areas, and breakrooms; identify and report any causes of leaks; and respond promptly to clean emergency spills.. 
  • Maintain paperwork, records etc. to meet business, environmental or regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior experience in cleaning roles
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a power floor scrubber
  • Certified in fall‑safe procedures and safe‑work‑at‑height practices
