Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a sanitary environment by completing routine cleaning tasks and supporting overall facility cleanliness standards.
Job Type: Full Time
Shift Available: Rotative (Weekends may be required)
Compensation: $23.00 /hr - after probation period $27.06 /hr
Key Accountabilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties including emptying garbage and recycling bins, dusting facility areas, and cleaning forklifts.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker areas, and breakrooms; identify and report any causes of leaks; and respond promptly to clean emergency spills..
- Maintain paperwork, records etc. to meet business, environmental or regulatory requirements.
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Prior experience in cleaning roles
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a power floor scrubber
- Certified in fall‑safe procedures and safe‑work‑at‑height practices
