Shift: Day Shift from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Compensation: Hourly $24.89 CAD hourly.
Job Description:
This is an exciting Maintenance Inventory Clerk opportunity at Cargill EWOS that will require an individual who can adapt to the changing dynamics of production. This individual must be self-motivated with a very strong ability to plan ahead, , follow instructions, and execute efficiently.
Principal Accountabilities:
• To provide clerical support to the Maintenance and Production Department by maintaining a timely and accurate inventory system. To be responsible for a complete and accurate documentation of all maintenance and production purchases and Capital Projects and the allocation of the costs related to it.
• Review and establish preventive work schedule on CMMS system to be carried out by maintenance on a shift basis.
• Maintain the daily log sheet to summarize work completed in each shift on CMMS system
• Establish and maintain a perpetual parts inventory that accurately reflects the actual physical inventory in the maintenance department.
• To establish and control a sign out process for spare parts in the maintenance department.
• To provide assistance to the maintenance personnel in ordering and the receiving of parts to the plant.
• To ensure all documentation for the parts / equipment are received and proper approval for payment is obtained.
• To setup and maintain an up to date control ledger for all Capital Projects that is in progress in the Plant.
• To coordinate and code all cost allocation for all Capital Projects in the plant.
• Operational maintenance of equipment
• To ensure accurate documentation and proper approvals are received before a request for payment are made.
• Maintain paperwork, records etc. to meet business, environmental or regulatory requirements
• Perform general Housekeeping functions in work areas
• Do other duties as required including cross training in other roles to achieve maximum efficiency in the plant
• Train others as required
• Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required:
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
• Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred:
• Minimum Grade 12.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Accounting Training or minimum 2 years experience.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Experience in computerized parts inventory systems.
• Good knowledge of parts and equipment.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Good communication skills and attention to details.
• Proven Excel, Word and computer experience.
