Job Purpose and Impact

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, The Gums Site Manager will be responsible for managing the operations at site in areas including Risk Management, Plant Efficiency, People Management, Operator Maintenance and Financial Performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute routine operations in accordance with policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.
  • Execute operations within budget guidelines.
  • High focus on Customer Service.
  • Develop operational plans and manage execution at site.
  • Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports (both permanent and casual) at site.
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 2 years of experience in grain, production or warehouse management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
