Job Purpose and Impact

The Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Site Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety systems and programs in our Cargill chocolate plant in Antwerpen. In this role, the supervisor leads a team to support compliance with applicable food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while promoting continuous improvement across site operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Day to day accountability to ensure compliance for all food safety and quality regulations, policies, standards and practices.
  • Ensure factory standards are adhered to and support the reporting and completion of actions in the event of any deviations.
  • Responsible for internal audit systems.
  • Accountable for food safety related site improvements.
  • Lead customer audits and visits including corrective action close outs.
  • Engage and encourage a small site based team of food safety professionals.
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in a Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) role within a site-based operational environment (ideally in food production)
  • Min. 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team coordination role
  • Knowledge of global food safety standards and practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Dutch and English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Previous work experience with SAP or a similar ERP
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and support team objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to apply practical and effective problem-solving approaches
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
