This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Manager will provide strategic operational oversight for all production and operating processes for a single plant. In this role, you will be accountable for standards aligned to safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Accountable for excellent customer experience in all areas of the location. They will work closely with Ag Business Group Managers to align & share feedback on employee behaviors and goals as they pertain to the achievement of the location team goals and customer experience.
- Responsible for leading, managing and developing the operations team aligned to the plant.
- Lead and ensure all production and operating facilities operate safely and in compliance with regulatory and corporate safety and environmental programs standards and goals.
- Oversee the execution of consistent and quality product while driving reliability centered manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for strategy execution, management and compliance of capital and operating budgets and oversee the strategy of capital investment projects and spending.
- Lead and own strategic implementation of operational efficiency and continuous improvement programs.
- Champion a culture that builds, operates and maintains plants that are operationally sound, safe and efficient.
- Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma/certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Budgeting and operations planning experience
- Knowledge of inventory control, forecasting, logistic management, operating efficiency and budget management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the plant
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
