Job Purpose and Impact

The Responsible Sourcing Coordinator job partners to implement strategies that ensure responsible sourcing practices throughout the organization's cocoa and ingredients supply chain, helping to create long term value and a more sustainable and ethical global supply chain. Under limited supervision and as part of C&C Cocoa & ingredients sourcing team this job helps assess suppliers, monitor compliance with ethical and sustainability standards, and adopt continuous improvement in responsible sourcing initiatives to ensure systems, processes and procedures align with traceability and sustainability programs. Important elements of this role are to assess, engage and build capacity of suppliers, and deploy traceability systems across our network.

Key Accountabilities

  • ROADMAP EXECUTION: Implements the established roadmap, including implementing responsible sourcing criteria in supplier selection and evaluation processes, audits and assessments, promoting sustainable procurement practices, and integrating responsible sourcing considerations into product design and development.
  • MEASURE PROGRESS: Partners to monitor and measure initiatives by collecting data related to key performance indicators, audits and reporting, to help track progress towards the established goals while performing effective metrics.
  • COMMUNICATION: Partners to communicate the organization's responsible sourcing efforts and progress to internal and external partners through drafting sustainability reports, public disclosures, and engagements with industry initiatives or certifications.
  • CURRENT STATE ASSESSMENT: Partners to conduct thorough assessments of the organization's current responsible sourcing practices and supply chain operations by compiling data used to identify strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • POLICIES & PROCEDURES: Partners to incorporate traceability and sustainability considerations into procurement policies, supplier codes of conduct, and quality management systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Bachelors’ degree in related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Fluency in English
  • Documentation and reporting accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in French is considered a plus
  • Vendor and /supplier performance management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite & supplier management tools (such as Aravo, Ecovadis, Moodys)
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in agricultural supply chains or FMCG
