Job Purpose and Impact
The Palm Oil Demand Lead Analyst will retrieve, analyze and summarize data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and predict business outcomes. In this role you use your full knowledge of supply and demand practices and standards to gather, analyze and interpret palm oil trends and data to generate & communicate trade ideas supporting our global trading desk.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with local and global trading desks daily on strategic direction by advocating for trading positions, using analytic data.
- Conduct demand analysis requiring a deep comprehension of the palm oil market, including biofuels policies.
- Conduct most complex market research using traditional and nontraditional data sources.
- Research competitor behavior including marketing strategies, pricing, sales and methods of operation.
- Monitor market conditions, trends and competitors to project demand and inform product launch timing.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, ag economics, business, finance or related discipline.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience in commodity analytics ideally with experience in palm oil market.
