Quality Control Executive - Tuas Based Region

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Quality Control Executive will ensure internal collaboration and connectivity for all policies, standards and trainings. In this role, you will partner with contacts to assist with compliance and customer specification issues. You will also work closely with the location to coordinate and plan programs that fall under food safety, quality and regulatory areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinates third-party laboratory testing for FSSC 22000 compliance (FGs, RMs, and as per customer requirement), manages laboratory consumable inventory, and ensures all analytical equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Conducts staff training on GMP, food defense, and safety protocols while serving as an active member of the Safety and Health risk assessment team.
- Evaluates new packaging materials, manages shelf-life extensions for materials and finished goods, and oversees quality control retained samples.
- Investigates customer complaints and issues corrective action requests to internal departments and suppliers to resolve non-conformity concerns.
- Executes analytical testing on time, maintains accurate quality records, and issues Certificates of Analysis (COA) for finished goods.
- Manages pest control contractors, maintains laboratory housekeeping, and assists with external and regulatory quality audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma's/Bachelor's degree in Microbiology/Food Science and Technology ore a related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Have 3 years of relevant experience in quality in Food Industry
- Attended Quality, Food Safety Related Training (e.g. ISO 22000, FSSC 22000)
- Good attitude and good interpersonal skills
- Able to start within short notice / immediately
- Willing to be fully onsite, based at Tuas.
