Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisor, Go to Market job will provide leadership and execution of strategic Commercial Excellence priorities related to GTM capabilities across Cargill.  This leader will drive cross enterprise and cross functional engagement to drive organic growth and deliver commercial value, further enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement through the GTM capability framework.   
As a recognized subject matter authority in this field, this job influences strategic alignment and disciplined execution, develops transformation roadmaps and execution plans, that drive scalable solutions through an integrated strategy of people, process, data, and business design. It partners with transformation, enterprise and functional leaders to establish governance routines, support GTM strategy execution, and determine and measure critical success factors that inform key performance indicators. The role also conducts post implementation reviews to ensure sustained impact and continuous improvement. 

Key Accountabilities

  • STRATEGIC PLANNING & EXECUTION: Designs high level plans aligned to strategic priorities and manages enterprise or functional strategic planning and execution rhythms, including leading the preparation of activation plans and materials for governance forums. Incorporates external best practices, competitive intelligence, and innovative approaches to improve performance and advance enterprise transformation maturity. 
  • PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT: Reviews and coordinates execution of highly complex corporate and GTM strategic initiatives, prioritizes and governs strategic initiatives across enterprise. Supports valuation, prioritization, and sequencing of GTM transformation efforts, identifying risks, interdependencies and capacity constraints across the strategic portfolio. 
  • EXECUTION ROADMAP: Develops transformation roadmaps and execution plans and prepares and maintains highly complex execution dashboards and reporting tools to track initiative progress and business impact. 
  • EXECUTION CONSISTENCY: Partners collaboratively to establish execution governance routines, metrics and performance tracking mechanisms to enable consistent strategy execution through tools and methodologies. Drives continuous improvement by measuring GTM execution effectiveness and embedding a data-driven, agile mindset across stakeholders. 
  • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Cooperates with senior leadership across transformation, functional, commercial and business teams to drive aligned execution. Provides project guidance, and expertise to sales and commercial excellence leaders, enabling effective execution of GTM strategies across the organization. 
  • CAPABILITY BUILDING: Mentors team members to build organizational capability in strategic planning, portfolio management, GTM excellence and execution governance to improve enterprise transformation maturity. Incorporates external best practices, competitive intelligence, and innovative approaches to improve performance and advance enterprise transformation maturity.

Qualifications

MINIMUM & TYPICAL YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience across strategy and commercial roles.Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience. 
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience driving cross-functional initiatives, stakeholder alignment, and business outcomes. 
  • Proven ability to solve complex business problems, navigate matrixed organizations, and effectively engage senior leaders and customers. 
  • Experience advancing commercial excellence capabilities, operating models, and strategy execution with measurable results. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration

  • The preferred location for this role is Minneapolis, MN; however, remote candidates within the U.S. will be considered.
  • The expected salary for this position is $135,000 – $225,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
