Quality Control Chemist
Job Purpose and Impact
Quality Control (QC) Chemist in the oleochemical industry is responsible for testing and analyzing raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role supports production, R&D, and customer satisfaction through accurate and timely laboratory analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Analyze raw materials (e.g., vegetable oils, fatty acids,) Test intermediate and finished products.
- Perform routine tests like: Acid Value (AV) ,Saponification Value (SV),Iodine Value (IV) ,Moisture content,Color (Lovibond).,GC (Gas Chromatography) analysis
- Ensure all products meet internal specifications and customer requirements
- Approve or reject batches based on test results
- Maintain COA (Certificate of Analysis) documentation
- Support in-process quality checks
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 3-4 years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry degree in Chemistry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
