Job Purpose and Impact

  • The Trade Compliance Excellence Consultant implements complex plans related to ongoing optimization and improvements in trade compliance. With minimal supervision, this job develops continuous improvement for trade compliance processes while also supporting high quality advisory services internally. This job leads the implementation of strategic trade compliance solutions and sensitized data strategies to benefit the business's global trade operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT: Develops complex technical international compliance planning solutions to assemble customs benefits and support risks mitigation, applying knowledge of trade compliance and industry standard methodologies to support cross border solutions that benefit the organization's business.
  • PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Provides insights for investigation and assessment of trade compliance operations, agreement opportunities and gaps in procedure to implement new trade compliance processes and standard methodologies to support resolution of complex trade compliance issues and align with laws and regulations administered by government agencies.
  • COMPLIANCE OPERATIONS & SENSITIZED DATA STRATEGY: Develops and implements complex regional trade compliance operations, sensitized data management systems, and processes, harmonizing to a scalable framework of standards to secure and facilitate global trade.
  • COMPLIANCE TRAINING: Develops training programs aimed at educating employees on trade compliance operations and sensitized data management.
  • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Interacts with appropriate government agencies and internal partners to ensure processes are compliant and up-to-date in support of effective business operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Experience from Firm or Trade Compliance Team in house
•    8-10 years+ in related fields, Project management and People Manamgent is preferred
•    Knowledge on HS Code classification ; Free Trade Agreement, have the competency on determination ;
•    Knowing North Asia ( China, Japan, South Korea) Trade Compliance situation;
•    SAP,BI report experience is preferred;
•    Proactively to use automation(AI) more and creating an team environment to always improve daily work and process
•    Stakeholder management
•    Fluent in English
