Warehouse Supervisor
Job Purpose and Impact
The Warehouse Supervisor, will oversee warehouse operations for ingredients and finished products, ensuring efficient inbound/outbound activities, accurate inventory control, and timely material availability to support overall feed‑mill production and customer delivery needs. These responsibilities include supervising receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes for both raw materials and finished goods, while maintaining compliance with feed safety and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Receive goods and services into the different storage locations to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize purchase to pay non-conformance while keeping received materials segregated, returning defective and non-conforming goods to suppliers while maintaining a document trail.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across ingredient warehouse, finished goods warehouse, and spare‑parts warehouse, supported by routine cycle counts and reconciliation to minimize shrink and stock variance.
- Schedule relevant inspection of goods to ensure compliance to technical specification and quality.
- Apply appropriate inventory management methods for ingredients and finished goods, optimizing stock levels to prevent shortages, reduce over‑stocking, and support efficient production planning
- Understand, lead, and monitor best‑practice storage standards, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure items are stored in a manner that supports efficient and compliant use within operations.
- Make purchase requests for stocked items to maintain determined inventory levels, partnering with suppliers where vendor‑controlled inventory programs apply.
- Initiate and track the procurement of stock parts required in standard job plans to ensure all items are available to enable work to be scheduled.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Minimum two-year experience working at warehouse in manufacturing environment.
- Strong Excel skill, SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- English proficiency at reading & writing level.
- Capable of multitasking, planning, task assignment & people coordination/ management.
