This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Sr. Sales Account Manager will drive sales growth by managing key customer accounts, primarily within the cruise industry. You’ll build strategic customer relationships and deliver tailored solutions that reflect the company’s values and support long-term profitability. This role includes responsibilities in contract management, bid processes, inventory oversight, and purchasing strategy, while working closely with internal stakeholders to optimize operations. Success in this fast-paced, market-driven environment requires excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute customer sales strategies that meet customer goals and align with company objectives.
  • Coordinate customer order processing and manage overall order fill rates to ensure timely delivery service.
  • Coordinate inventory management and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure product availability and service reliability.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behavior and competitive activity to support strategic planning and pricing decisions.
  • Support sales leadership by managing contracts and risk mitigation in partnership with pricing and trade teams; resolve claims and disputes as needed.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience 
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and B2B sales

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish 
  • Experience in the cruise industry or related sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field  
  • Proven experience in the protein industry and market analysis

Position Information

  • Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. 
  • Up to 20% of local travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.
  • This is a hybrid position located in Hialeah, FL.
