Job Purpose and Impact
The Director, Talent Acquisition – Branding, Insights and Partnerships is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping, executing, and evolving Cargill’s global employer brand strategy to strengthen brand awareness and attract top talent across key markets and segments. He/She is also responsible for overseeing a professional services budget, ensuring strategic allocation, monthly reporting, and adherence to financial targets and grade levels. It will also include managing vendor relationships to maximize value and performance and aligning spend with broader employer brand and talent objectives.
He/She will lead a high-performing global team, including Regional Employer Brand Leads, a dedicated Insights team and a Partnerships lead, ensuring culturally relevant brand activation, data-informed decision-making, and consistent global alignment.
The Regional Employer Brand Leads / team plays a critical role in localizing and activating the global employer brand strategy within their respective markets. They develop and implement region-specific talent attraction campaigns, craft messaging that resonate with local audiences and collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition and Communications partners to ensure alignment with business and cultural nuances. Their work ensures that the global brand is both consistent and adaptable, driving relevance and impact at the local level.
The Insights function gathers and analyzes candidate behavior trends, brand perception, market data, and team KPIs, which are crucial for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other reports.
The Partnerships function, focused on talent acquisition vendor management, oversees external platforms and service providers ; ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with Cargill’s brand and hiring goals. This includes managing contracts, performance and strategic relationships with vendors that support employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts.
With a strong emphasis on insights, innovation, and operational excellence, this role drives meaningful impact across both internal and external talent experiences.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development and execution of Cargill’s global employer brand strategy, aligned with business and talent acquisition goals.
- Define and maintain the global talent brand architecture, including governance and frameworks for consistent execution across regions.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, bringing deep expertise in candidate insights, brand positioning, and talent attraction.
- Oversee the activation of employer brand strategies across regions, ensuring cultural relevance and local impact.
- Guide the use of data and insights to inform decisions, optimize campaigns, and improve candidate engagement.
- Manage external partnerships and vendors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery of branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the global team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition, employer branding, or recruitment marketing.
- Proven experience leading global teams and managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated success in building and executing global brand strategies in a matrixed environment.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and driving change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in employer branding, talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, or brand strategy.
- Proven leadership experience managing global, cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing global employer brand strategies, particularly in complex, multinational environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience advising senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, drive change, and foster innovation.
