This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Production Support Clerk (12 month term) will provide support to employees, a small team or department. In this fast-paced role, you will coordinate, integrate and implement assigned administrative and staff functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Process vacation requests, submit routine requests to HR via Electronic Service Request System.
- Perform routine administrative work within established procedures.
- Enter routine data into standard forms and templates, and file and archive paper and electronic documents.
- Receive and relay telephone messages from internal and external sources, and as well face-to-face interaction with production employees.
- Handle basic clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Required
- High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
- Experience working in a high-volume busy environment where multi-tasking is required.
- Strong customer service skills with ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Able to work Saturdays when required.
- Able to work middle shift (11 am to 7:30 pm)
Preferred
- 1 year of Payroll, Human Resources or Customer Service experience.
- Microsoft Excel Skills.
