Location: Sarnia, ON
Job Type: Seasonal
Shift Available: Day shift
Compensation: $19.50/hr
Term Length: June 2026 - end of August 2026
Principal Accountabilities:
- Sweeping
- Shoveling
- Trimming weeds
- Painting
- Site housekeeping (sign installation, site clean-up, setting up fencing)
- Aiding with deliveries
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Actively enrolled in post-secondary institution
- Experience working in a production or plant environment
