Job Purpose and Impact

The Formulator role will be aligned to Cargill's Animal Nutrition and Health business based at Bangalore. In this role you, will formulate products according to the agreed product matrix. You will use formulation software for all production runs in the factory and balance efficiently the technical constraints, cost of formulation and raw material use according to supply plan. You will use and develop your skills to build on your formulation knowledge.

Key Accountabilities

•    Formulate nutrition products and ensure the products are manufactured in accordance with applicable requirements and specifications.
•    Update formulation software with available raw material data, retrieving information from relevant sources and reporting.
•    Conduct daily maintenance of formulas following plant and customer needs.
•    Document formulation process according to defined procedures.
•    Continue to develop ingredient knowledge.
•    Conduct continuous improvement and project work that aims to improve operations at the factory.
•    Collaborate with other teams to achieve efficient operation and ensure high customer delivery. 
•    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. 
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Masters’ degree in Animal Nutrition / Dairy Science / Poultry Science / equivalent experience.
•    Minimum of five years of related work experience.
•    Other minimum qualifications may apply.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Poultry / Dairy Nutrition formulation knowledge. 
•    Experience in complex software systems and biological knowledge of raw material characteristics. 
•    Knowledge of the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
