Principal Accountabilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment at the site, including but not limited to packaging equipment, shipping computers, and pallet inverters
- Safely operate motorized vehicles used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and around the plant
- Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Operate computers to check production orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork, and labels
- Input production into the computer accurately
- Housekeeping tasks
- Support a culture of Zero Harm by following safety and environmental practices
- Assist in training new employees
- Comply with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Feed Safety risks associated with products
- Support a culture of zero fatality, injury, and illness
- Understand and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses
- Perform general tasks around the plant with minimal supervision
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to operate machinery, including a forklift
- Prior experience working in a production-related role (at least 1 year)
- High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
