Operators in this position are responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the crush and some of the refinery loading areas as required. They will ensure that the equipment is fully operational and in good repair.

Shift Available: Dupont (Rotating)
Compensation: $33.00/hr & Night shift premium $1.26/hr

Key Accountabilities
- Operate all equipment associated with railcar loading and unloading, railcar washing (refinery), railcar drying, truck loading and unloading.
- Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirements
- Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision
- Understand and adhere to Provincial and Federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety. Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing the Maintenance Computer Program.
- Gather samples from loaded tank cars or trucks with each load/unload
- Gather samples from the meal, pellets and/or crude oil cars loaded.
- Troubleshoot minor problems as required
- Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental and food safety impacts of the operation
- Completes master sanitation schedule checklists and tasks
- Attend various mandatory safety and department meetings
- Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.
- Assist other crush, refinery and plant personnel as needed, and will perform any other duty as requested.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing and able to work 12 hr shifts, including nights, overtime, weekends, holidays, and additional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift to cover vacancies.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, etc., to work in elevated areas of the plant (4 feet and above).
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lift up to 50lbs regularly, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must have very good time management skills
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and follow-up skills
- Must be willing to accept accountability
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
- Must have demonstrated high performance (work performance, attendance record, safety record.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mobile equipment experience
- Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Prior experience in production related work
