FSQR Supervisor - Contract (12 months)

Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory (FSQR) Supervisor is responsible for implementing food safety management systems and ensuring ongoing compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company requirements at the assigned facility. In this role, the supervisor will support the leadership team by applying a strong understanding of food safety and quality standards and regulatory expectations. Key responsibilities include auditing processes and documentation, verifying execution of standards on the production floor, and leading or supporting investigations related to food safety, quality, or personnel concerns. The FSQR Supervisor will also provide day‑to‑day leadership to the team, fostering a culture of proactive problem‑solving and continuous improvement. This position plays a critical role in identifying issues, developing corrective actions, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer to maintain and elevate the facility’s food safety and quality performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor regulatory activities and plant compliance with regulatory food
- Ensure adherence to corporate, regulatory and facility food safety and quality requirements
- Implement and ensure the on-floor compliance of standard operating procedures, master schedules, customer food safety and quality requirements
- Assist with various projects
- Provide leadership for your direct reports
- Investigate and document food safety incidents including hands on interaction with plant equipment and collaboration with multi‑disciplinary team members

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, chemistry, microbiology, quality assurance or equivalent experience
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to solve complex problems
- Minimum one year experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Minimum one year of directly related work experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to work afternoon shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Minimumone year of supervisory experience
- Previous MPIP certification
- Previous experience in a meat processing facility
Position Details
• Location: London, Ontario; Relocation assistance is not provided for this role
• Schedule is Monday – Friday typically from 4:30pm to 1:30am. There are also some events that might need to work outside of normal business hours
• The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
• The expected salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000/year. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
