The Process Operator Lead will perform ongoing assigned lead activities and will operate, perform maintenance and lead troubleshooting activities for a series of machines and equipment with interactions of several process inputs to produce product with an in depth understanding of policies and procedures and occasional guidance and supporting others. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory polices.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform ongoing assigned lead activities, including providing to support to team, in addition to performing operator roles.
  • Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e. forklift, skid loader, sit down floor sweeper, front end loader).
  • Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance and complete repair work while coordinating with maintenance work and other teams to ensure a smooth and stable operating process.
  • Use hand and power tools perform preventative and autonomous maintenance, troubleshoot complex machine issues and support other operators in troubleshooting and providing guidance.
  • Monitor equipment, operate control panels, process samples, adjust machine processes using selectivity and complex decision making and utilize computer systems to input and record data and support others.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need: 

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship 
  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) 
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation 
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division 
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) 
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice 


What Will Put You Ahead: 

  • Prior experience working on a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) 
  • Experience with automated computer systems, such as Human Machine Interface (HMI)
