This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

The Warehouse Operator II will perform various warehouse tasks and operate warehouse equipment per warehouse documentation and an understanding of warehouse processes and procedures, with regular guidance. In this role you will support efficient and safe operations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage/coordinate various storeroom functions, including work order repairs, issuing, receiving, cycle counting, kitting, inventory administration and computer catalog
  • Material handling-including stocking/returns, pulling for work execution, delivering on site
  • Maintaining Safety & Food Safety storage requirements (including audits/audit checks)
  • Problem resolution with counterparts across the business unit, as well as vendors and procurement center (i.e., Best practice implementation, shared inventory, emergency backup as needed)
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Special projects: inventory/supplier reductions, project work, safety/food safety, engagement teams, etc

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to read/write English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping and climbing ladders
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Must be able to operate machinery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous experience/knowledge using SAP inventory management system
  • Forklift certified
  • Prior experience in production related work
