Pricing Strategist

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Pricing Strategist will lead strategic pricing scopes across several MEETA countries in line with business goals and market conditions related by not limited to: Customer/SKU profitability, top 20 regional customers pricing schemes, Profit 360 or alternative, AI driven continuous improvement, TCA biz readiness and process simplification. In this role, you will deploy strategic pricing strategies, support requests for proposal processes for key customers, provide insight into pricing data and tools and be a change agent with regards to value and market pricing structures and lead AI powered automations of operational processes related to pricing.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for implementing complex strategic pricing operations as an end-to-end process including strategy development, price setting, process governance and tool maintenance in alignment with business strategy.
- Support the strategic pricing foundation through maintenance and evolution of pricing science, data models, tools and processes.
- Lead the strategic pricing portion of the cross functional large size customer request for proposal processes and ensure market dynamics and value-based pricing principles are considered.
- Educate and influence stakeholders on market conditions, economic value assessments and pricing strategies through the completion of complex analysis, planning and strategic communication.
- Support changing management initiatives across the broader business as the organization evolves into a value-based pricing culture.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Confirmed success in identifying margin improvement opportunities by leveraging pricing.
- Experience with trade promotion, retail performance and profitability analysis.
- Experience using data analysis tools.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
- Fluency in English language. Any other language is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience is the use of AI powered automations of operational processes related to pricing.
- Feed/Premix/Additives/Pharma business background.
- Very good influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Founders’ mentality: ownership, bias for action.
- High learning agility.
