Job Purpose and Impact
The Program Manager- Manufacturing and Plant Technology job provides enterprise‑level program leadership for complex, cross‑functional initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert, this role is responsible for establishing program governance, integrated planning, execution discipline, and executive reporting across multiple projects and workstreams.
The role partners closely with business leaders, product/platform owners, and delivery teams to ensure outcomes are achieved within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, while driving risk mitigation, dependency management, and benefits realization.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish and lead program governance, planning standards, and integrated reporting across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Own integrated program plans, including dependencies, milestones, and critical path management.
- Orchestrate cross‑functional execution, proactively managing risks, issues, and interdependencies.
- Monitor and control schedule, cost, scope, resources, and program‑level change, driving corrective actions.
- Deliver executive‑level reporting, support SteerCo/forums, and ensure stakeholder alignment and transparency.
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven delivery of complex, cross‑functional initiatives with multiple workstreams.
- Strong experience in program governance, integrated planning, RAID management, and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at multiple levels;
- Experience with enterprise PPM tools (e.g., Clarizen); certifications (PMP, PgMP, SAFe) a plus.
- Demonstrated experience leading technology programs in operating plants
- Managing interdependence, sequencing, and tradeoffs across technologies rather than running them as isolated workstreams
- Translating complex infrastructure work into clear, outcome‑oriented narratives for enterprise and functional leaders
Short Description
Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
The expected salary for this position is $131,000-$175,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
