Assistant Manager - Maintenance
Job Purpose and Impact
The Assistant Manager - Maintenance, will plan basic routine maintenance on our plant assets and equipment following established program guidelines. In this role, you will develop detailed job plans to improve the work force efficiency and quality by identifying the elements of an executable work package. You will provide general knowledge of consistent maintenance and reliability best practices in the completion of planning and prioritizing basic tasks and providing quality work that supports organizational goals.
Key Accountabilities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Research and compile information and feedback necessary to generate highly effective and detailed job plans.
- Initiate the procurement of materials, special tools and unique items required in the job plans using relevant maintenance programs and database tools.
- Prepare detailed job plans as required on general maintenance activities and schedule downtime and partner with more senior team members to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce lost production.
- Maintain custom databases to support specific work projects and processes.
- Plan the execution of basic repair procedures and tasks to ensure compliance with the fundamental plant maintenance procedures and practices.
- Review all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy and update the machinery history data in the tracking system as required.
- Provide reports to keep the maintenance leaders informed of work progress and future work schedules.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Job Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Breakdown Maintenance, preventive Maintenance activities and related documentation. accurate and intime completion of records related to engineering activities.
- CAPEX project activities and related documentation, raising purchase requests. Procurements of spares, equipment, and maintenance materials in coordination with CSSP.
- Training the manpower in maintenance and utilities.
- Renewal of boiler licence, renewal of AMCs, CMCs and calibrations of plant equipment & measuring devices, legal metrology activities like weighing scale stamping.
- Amending of all plant layouts and utility layouts & approval of the same from authorities wherever applicable.
- Maintaining the plant, machinery, equipment, measuring devices and critical safety devices as per EHS and FSQR requirements.
- Implementing EHS programs, FSQR programs, manufacturing excellence programs, reliability excellence programs, value creation projects and any other programs related to engineering & maintenance.
- Operating the engineering department within the allotted budget, preparing engineering department budget.
- Maintaining of Critical spares to avoid any delays due to non-availability of spares. Accurate maintenance of inventory of spares and engineering materials
- Initiation, completion, and submission of URS to CSSP in coordination with all applicable departments
- New installations of equipment’s and accessories should follow DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ Procedures as per Schedule-M requirements.
- Inter plant transfer of assets and sending assets for repair to the vendors & ensure receipt of the same which are returnable.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree BE in Mechanical or equivalent.
- 5-8 Years API/ Bulk drug plant or related field, Herbal, Chemicals.
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES:
- Perform the function of monitoring technical work performed by contractors.
- Ensure ongoing mechanical, electrical and structural integrity of plant equipment and ensure alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide reports to keep the maintenance leaders informed of work progress and future work schedules.
- Utility, Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance
- Exposure in engineering projects
- Experience in engineering spares management, Prefer for SAP knowledge.
- Preventive maintenance, Engineering documentation
