FSQR Technician
Job Purpose and Impact
The FSQR Technician will provide general quality assurance and product safety technical support for testing, data collection and analysis, process documentation and supporting knowledge transfer. To achieve Cargill’s goal of ZERO harm, you will partner with FSQR team, QMS Coordinator, FSQR Documentation, ACI teams, Corporate FSQR, Operations, Business leadership, and multiple peers.
Key Accountabilities
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment operations, calibration, and problem-solving.
- Ensure effective process control implementation and follow-up to operation until issues are fully resolved.
- Knowledge and application of food safety risk assessment, including raw material evaluation, SIFRA sample collection, and extraction procedures.
- Demonstrate ability in Good Laboratory Management i.e. control of testing methods, maintenance of golden/reference sample, Test record documentation, Training programs, Competency/proficiency testing, Chemical control, Calibration schedule for test equipment etc.
- Support the design and delivery of FSQR-specific training for new procedures, ensuring clear communication to all relevant team members
- Monitor performance metrics using statistical tools and provide periodic reports to key stakeholders
- Identify key performance issues, establish cause-and-effect relationships, and implement solutions to complex quality problems, driving continuous improvement.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Preferable have 1 year of working experience in Operations, FSQR, or related fields.
Preferable experience in implementing and sustaining FSQR management systems across multiple business lines , diverse regulatory and legal environments.
Skilled in working within complex matrix organizations, managing large-scale or complex projects, and collaborating across businesses and functions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
Familiarity with analytical laboratory testing and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Hands-on experience with product, food, health, safety, and quality practices and systems.
