Shift(s) Available: Monday 12:00am - 8:30am, Thursday 5:45pm-6:15am, Friday 5:45pm-6:15am, Saturday 3:00pm-11:30pm
Compensation: $29.98/hr

Principal Accountabilities

•    Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable, safe operation of plant equipment in a raw meat processing environment. 
•    Maintain and monitor the facility’s industrial ammonia refrigeration system, including safe handling of water treatment and related chemicals. 
•    Complete repairs using standard industrial tools and powered equipment to minimize downtime. 
•    Accurately document maintenance activities, findings, and completed work using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). 
•    Support plant safety, food safety, and environmental standards by consistently following procedures, using required PPE, and maintaining a clean work environment. 
•    Safely operate material handling and access equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts) and work at heights as required.

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first year of employment
  • Ability to safely perform industrial maintenance work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and navigating stairs, ladders, and confined spaces with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, piping, and chemical feed systems) with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to document work electronically

Preferred Qualifications 

•    Previous experience with SAP
•    Previous industrial ammonia refrigeration experience
•    Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
•    Knowledge of wastewater systems and operations including primary treatment, activated sludge, clarification, disinfection, etc
