PURPOSE

The Tax Supervisor job sets day-to-day operational objectives for collecting, processing and reporting accurate Tax returns, ensuring and coordinating Tax payments and Tax incentives calculation, data for the purposes of providing external information for Corporate Tax decision making while ensuring compliance applicable tax regulations and internal fiscal policies. This job leads and influences standard operations of the designated end to end Tax processes and recommends and implements  input for the organizational, operational and stakeholder model for the shared services. This job also monitors and implements improvements key performance indicators and metrics and partners to lead specific projects to drive efficiencies. The Tax Supervisor, also coaches and empowers the team to deliver standard services, managing them to achieve the organization’s goals, by ensuring productivity and supporting employee development.

He/she partners with Tax Advisors and Business to ensure the operational compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • TAX RETURNS & TAX FORM COMPLETION: Reviews moderately complex tax returns, and reviews tax forms and related documents associated with tax compliance, including provisions, computations, estimates, and extensions. Ensures timely Tax Payments, and reviews Tax incentives calculation.
  • TAX COMPLIANCE ACTIVITIES: Participates in tax compliance projects, coordinates and monitors tax, financial and compliance systems for troubleshooting, training, and data quality purposes, and oversees and completes general processes related to statutory and or generally accepted accounting principles for tax related items.
  • TAX COMPLIANCE PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Reviews and guides businesses to accurately follow compliance processes, analyzes compliance processes and or the applications used in these processes to draw conclusions and recommend improvements to increase and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance processes.
  • AUDITS CONDUCTION & LEGAL DISPUTES RESOLUTION: Develops responses to moderately complex audits and information requests from external taxing authorities for verification from senior team members, retrieves information for senior team members to verify in response to moderate risk audits and information requests from external tax authorities, and handles correspondence with external revenue bodies and or inquiries from taxing authorities.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Manages team members to achieve the organization’s goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.
  • BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Facilitates positive business relationships with key partners with a focus on process maturity collaborating with accounting and finance organization to implement the process strategy
  • PROCESS EXECUTION IMPROVEMENT: Monitors operations performance against established service level agreements and metrics, implementing adequate action plans, and partners to lead specific continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields
  • Experience in tax supervision
  • Experience in people leadership
  • Knowledge of indirect taxes
  • Experience in tax accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced English
  • Preferred knowledge of Mastersaf DW / JDE Edwards / SAP TC2
