Director of Origination

Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Director of Origination will lead and direct complex and multi-dimensional merchandising work. In this role, you will drive the coordination of a supplier base and fulfill transactions, delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity and cost.
You will develop a team that buys and sells commodities from and to country elevators, producers, feed mills and processors.
Key Accountabilities
• Define and execute origination and merchandising strategies
• Negotiate and/or guide the team on pricing, value propositions, contracts, and pricing policies
• Credit management and execution
• Support and close collaboration on market risk
• Work closely with Finance, Credit, Legal, Logistics, Operations, and Sustainability
• Collaborate with other business units, such as Ag&T, and develop joint programs
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals
• Ensure commercial governance and adherence to internal policies
Qualifications
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE)
• Solid experience in Trading, Merchandising, or Commodity Origination
• Proven track record in complex negotiations
• High level of autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong P&L focus and market-driven decision-making
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Advanced and/or fluent English
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS (NICE TO HAVE)
• Experience with agricultural or soft commodities
• Exposure to risk structures, MTM, and credit
• Experience in multinational environments with robust governance
• Previous experience as a technical leader or informal mentor
